Pet Policy

At Coastline Realty Vacations, we have a large selection of pet-friendly (dogs only) Topsail vacation rentals to choose from. Take a look at what we have to offer, and go ahead and “favorite” your top picks for easy reference. You can even refine your search to include exactly what you’re looking for when it comes to amenities, location, type of rental and number of guests. It’s really easy!

Our pet policy includes three options:

1. Dogs Allowed with Pet Fee
2. No Dogs Allowed for Guests/Tenants
3. Pet/Dog Free -No Animals of Any Kind Allowed

Some of our property owners will allow dogs and or service animals on the premises. If you wish to bring your dog or service animal, be sure to select a property that is marked as “dogs allowed”. Homeowners that allow dogs in their homes generally charge an additional non-refundable Pet Fee per pet (2 dog maximum, price varies by home). Please note, for service animals with proper paperwork proof only, there is no pet fee charge (service animals must be acknowledged in initial reservation paperwork to be valid). Pet Fee’s are for the convenience of allowing dogs in the homes and does not cover any damage created by your pet. 

The towns on Topsail Island have a mandatory Leash Law and Pooper Scooper rule stating that you must keep your dog on leash in public places (including on the beach) and you must clean up your pet waste from the grounds of your rental property or any public area.

Please remember that many people are allergic to a variety of animals. It is extremely unfair to property owners and future tenants to introduce a pet (or even a service animal) in a non-pet friendly home. We will do everything we can to find you a home that is set-up to accommodate you and your service animal without jeopardizing the health and wellness of another guest or homeowner who may have severe animal allergies. If you cannot find an appropriate home that allows pets, we suggest you either kennel or leave your dog with friends or family. Information about local kennels is available by calling our office or doing a simple online search in our area.

Please do not jeopardize your vacation. Any dog found in or around a non-pet friendly property is grounds for expedited eviction, forfeiture of all monies paid, and a $1000.00 fine, or at sole discretion of Coastline Realty Vacations.

No Dogs Allowed – Guest/Tenant

The properties labeled “No Dogs Allowed – Guest/Tenant” typically means that an owner may have a dog, but prefer not to allow guests to bring a dog OR in some cases it means the Home Owner’s Association may not allow guests to bring dogs. Unfortunately, an HOA’s rule overrides a homeowner’s choice or ours, so please be mindful not to bring a dog to any property labeled No Dogs Allowed. Please understand that HOA’s may ask a guest to leave if they are caught with an undisclosed animal on- site. Service animals may be allowed with proper documentation, dependent upon the HOA’s rules, and any service animal request is required to be submitted for approval at time of initial reservation and NO later.

Pet/Dog-FREE

Pet/Dog Free homes are homes that have not had an animal inside of them at any given point. Typically, owners do not have a dog due to an allergy in the homeowner’s family and therefore guests are prohibited from bringing any animal into the property. We cannot guarantee any home is 100% allergen free, but if you have an allergy, we highly recommend renting one of these homes. Please remember that many people are allergic to a variety of animals. It is extremely unfair to property owners and future tenants to introduce a pet (or even a service animal) in a not pet friendly home. We will do everything we can to find you a home that is set up to accommodate you and your service animal without jeopardizing the health and wellness of another guest or homeowner who may have severe allergies.
