How to Make a Simple and Delicious Breakfast from the Sea

How-to-Make-a-Simple-and-Delicious-Breakfast-from-the-Sea

Sometimes, a delightful, home cooked breakfast is the only thing that will do when you need to truly relax and unwind. And what better time to truly relax and unwind than when you are on vacation here in Topsail with us?

Truly, there is nothing better than putting your feet up in the comfort of your own home (or vacation home). One of our favorite lazy morning breakfasts this time of year is a sea-inspired delicacy: smoked salmon and cream cheese crepes. It is an incredibly simple dish to make, but it tastes like you’ve spent hours slaving over it. The heady smokiness of the salmon pairs beautifully with the sweat, light creaminess of the cream cheese, while the lemon adds a hint of edible sunshine as it really brings out the smokiness in the salmon. When you top the dish off with capers, which are easy enough to leave off for the really picky eaters in your family, you bring a delightful brininess to the whole dish that speaks of the sea. Not only is this dish easy to cook, but it is also incredibly easy to shop for. (Hint: if you’ve never purchased smoked salmon before, it is found in most grocery stores in the deli section, or just off to one side of the deli and specialty cheese section.

So enjoy a delicious, and leisurely, breakfast in bed this week, whether you are on vacation here in Topsail or are just taking a moment to savor life at home. Check out this delicious salmon and cream cheese crepe recipe from Recipe.com - you won’t be disappointed!
